Hello 20
On the sixth of January, it was my twentieth birthday, hoorah! I'm not completely sure if I'm okay about that yet but oh well, just another year older - still none the wiser.
My parents are currently in India/Dubai so I wasn't able to spend the day with them. Instead, I was woken up by my sister singing happy birthday with a cake lit with twenty candles. I was still in bed as I blew them out. She then gave me my presents. I didn't ask for anything from my family as I had got some Bose speakers and a brand new laptop for university purposes as I am living out. They costed a fortune so I didn't want to spend any more money as I was happy with them being my Christmas - Diwali - birthday present's all in one. But my mum thought ahead and had bought some bits before she went.
I got a Bob Marley t-shirt, 3 Barry M gelly hi-shine nail polishes (watermelon, blood orange, blue grape) and a Jamie Oliver cookbook.
I didn't have a lot planned for the rest of the day so went to see Frozen with my sister. Absolutely loved that movie & Olaf was brilliant! I then came home, got changed and my friend surprised me with a visit to the Purl Bar. It's a very chic bar and I enjoyed it a lot. Drink prices range from £9 - £12 but they're all original. Was lovely! She then gave me a Swarovski bracelet which I absolutely adore.
After that, I went to TGI Friday's and met up with my sister once again & two of my closest friends, Bhavinee and Sarah. Sarah got me a really cute & dainty necklace which I fell in love with.
We had dinner and one of my favourite singers, Bluey Robinson walked in. I started shaking and my sister "slyly" went to check if it was actually him. It was. I walked to his table and asked for a picture and we had a little conversation about his music and the near future - this little meeting absolutely made my day.
I really enjoyed my 20th birthday. It was different to what I'd done over the past few years and I think I'll be doing stuff like this more often.
I will try taking more pictures from now on. I'm trying my hand at vlogging, blogging and all that jazz. It's hard to vlog but I think I'm going to try some more.
Love you!
