College
I'm currently in my second year of college (or Year 13 as people call it.) I'm meant to be in my first year of University but I didn't do that well in my first year of A Levels. I got 2 U's, 1 E and 1 D. I admit, I used to be hugely ashamed of this but I'm not anymore. I'm actually glad that I didn't do well in that. I'm not in college doing a BTEC National Diploma in Travel & Tourism. If you don't know what a BTEC is, it's an only coursework based subject. There are no exams involved. I personally don't think exams are a strong point of mine at all, which is why I decided to retake my first year and make it a completely fresh start.
To be honest, it's probably one of the best decisions I've made. In my opinion, if you like to interact with other people and do more creative things, a BTEC would be ideal. But that's just what I think so don't hold me to it.
The first year of this BTEC was.... "iffy". It was definitely different to sixth form. I joined a brand new college in the hopes that I would be able to have a completely new start, not know anyone and just reinvent myself in a way. That wasn't the case. I joined and it ended up knowing about half the college. I don't have different classes either, I just have one class which is made up of 13 girls only. The other day, we went on a trip to the city to go on the Emirates Cable Cars that go from Royal Victoria to North Greenwich. I think these trips and just the class in general is starting to bond together a lot more now which is really good!
I'm trying to get all Distinction's in my all pieces of my coursework in order to achieve an DDD outcome at the end of the year which should (hopefully) guarantee my place at the University that I want to go to. I'm 18, turning 19 in 2 months, but I'm still not 100% set on what I want to do in the future. At the moment, I'm wanting to go into Events Management mixed with Radio Jounrnalism, but it depends on the experience I get overall.
On a completely random note, I'm considering starting to do blog posts and possibly even YouTube videos on some hauls I've recently done? As well as beauty/fashion videos/blog posts. I'm not sure if I should because I don't know if anyone reads my posts but it would be awesome to get into the online fashion community :)
Anyway, I shall be back with you soon!
Much love,
