I have recently restarted Insanity. If you don't know, Insanity is a 60 day fitness DVD run by Shaun T. He is an "American fitness trainer & choreographer" (according to Wikipedia)
I started with the Fit Test on January 20th. That didn't go too well, but everyone has to start somewhere, right!? I first started Insanity last year sometime during summer but stopped about 25 days in. I'm not sure why, I just couldn't be bothered to carry on.
However now, I need to make sure I complete it! I'm going on tour with my cheer squad in April and want to get fit & get the best body I can achieve by that point. Clean eating (as much as possible) and working out 5 - 6 days a week. I really need to stay motivated and do what I can. No more take-out or fizzy drinks, it's all about the fruit & veg and water. Yum yum!
I'm also planning to go on a Summer holiday with my best friend and a few others. That's another reason I need to get fit.. so much to look forward to! That's why I've stopped binge-drinking, as I want my metabolism to be as good as it can be. I'm going to cook whatever I can from scratch and work out as much as possible, as I stated earlier.
Once I finish Insanity, there will be a new gym open next to my house which is £10.99 per month. I plan to join that in order to continue my workouts, but hopefully they'll be a bit more intense. This gym is open (literally) 24/7 so I can't wait!
Anyway, this was just a little ramble about what I have planned on the fitness side of things for the first half of 2014. Let's hope I keep to it!
